Chris Jericho latest name to confirm positive COVID case

AEW star Chris Jericho is the latest name to confirm a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The former AEW World Champion and WWE legend made the revelation on his Talk is Jericho Podcast, admitting his positive test came back in the Autumn.

Thankfully, the virus presented without symptoms, with the Canadian saying:

"I haven't really told anybody this, but I tested positive back in maybe September. And I had zero symptoms... I had my 10 days in isolation and stayed away from everybody — and I didn't even know that I had it. I went and got a test just in general, and it's one of those ones where they said you're positive and I'm like, 'Really? Are you serious?'
"I didn't have a headache, I didn't have a cough, which I guess is a very lucky thing. But then on top of that though Alex, and you'll know this, once I did have it—and it wasn't a false positive because I took three different tests and they were all positive—but now I have the antibodies."

It's thought that while Jericho may have appeared on AEW Dynamite during his period in isolation and even wrestled, those segments were only aired at that time, and had in fact been taped prior to his diagnosis.

Jericho is the latest high profile name to make such an admission - his AEW counterpart Nick Jackson revealed he'd recovered from COVID this week.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has also confirmed he presently has the virus, but is asymptomatic.
